What is Olympic Day?
Olympic Day is a worldwide event celebrated on 23 June each year across the five continents. It celebrates getting active and living the Olympic Values – friendship, excellence and respect – through the pillars of Olympic Day.
What are the Olympic Day pillars?
- Move
- Learn
- Discover
...and the new pillar for 2022:
- Together for a better world!
Last year, over 3 million people took part in the Olympic Day celebrations, from 116 countries all around the world. This year, we want YOU and your school/family to join the celebrations!
How can I take part?
What you do is up to you – whether moving with an Olympic Day run, learning about the Olympic Values, or discovering new ways to get active.
You could also explore the new Olympic Day pillar, 'together for a better world', which this year is focusing on the theme of peace. Bring your community together to show your support for a peaceful world by joining the #MoveForPeace with a dance off, urban hike, or multi-sports event!
Share your ideas and win!
Whatever you plan, remember to let us know your Olympic Day plans or activities by sharing @GetSetCommunity or adding a story on our Get Set noticeboard using #OlympicDay and #MoveForPeace!
Schools or families who share by 30 June 2022 will be in with a chance of winning a class set of exclusive adidas Olympic Day t-shirts for their school!
