A Special Visit for Huntingdon Summer Club from Mel Clarke!
Barracudas Summer Camp in Huntingdon received a special visit last week from Paralympic archer, Mel Clarke.
The children had the exciting opportunity to take part in some archery sessions with Mel, as well as a Q&A where they got to ask her questions about her journey to becoming a Paralympian, her training, and what it felt like to win a medal at the Games.
Mel’s visit was hugely inspirational and having the opportunity to hold her Olympic Torch and Silver medal was a tangible reminder to the children of what can be achieved with hard work and dedication! Barracudas told us that the children felt like "they weren't just meeting a sports star; they were meeting a role model". You can read more about their experience here.
Thank you to Barracudas for sharing these lovely photos from Mel's visit with us.
