Get Set for Positive Energy, brought to you by Team GB, ParalympicsGB and British Gas, is a free programme that has pupils saving energy, making changes that matter and imagining a greener future for everyone – with fun, ten-minute challenges that light up busy classrooms.
Ready to take action? Our new Winter Games Competition gives your school the chance to win an athlete visit and a £5,000 eco grant to turn your green ambitions into reality. Enter by Friday 27th March 2026 to win.
Designed for ages 5-11, Get Set for Positive Energy includes lesson plans, assembly presentations and athlete-led Power Ups that get pupils racing to save energy.
Watch pupils hunt for energy waste, switching off devices, and take what they’ve learned straight home to their families.

Bring the magic of Milano Cortina 2026 into your classroom with five days of Power Ups led by Team GB and ParalympicsGB athletes. From mini snow sports drills to quick eco quests, each session gets pupils moving, thinking and energy-saving.

As part of the Winter Countdown, pupils can design a sustainable feature for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026. By entering, your school could win:
- An athlete-led celebration assembly
- £5,000 to support your school’s green goals

The Winter Games competition challenges young people aged 5–11 to design a sustainable feature for the Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games in Milano Cortina 2026. The Sustainability Competition opens at 08:00 on 18 November 2025 and closes at 23:59 on 27 March 2026.

No all resources and elements of the Get Set for Positive Energy programme are free for schools, and home learners to access.
Who creates the Get Set for Positive Energy Resources?
All learning resources are created by education specialists and in consultation with teachers. We have done the work to create resources that teachers can use with minimum preparation to inspire and inform your pupils. British Gas have provided all the key facts and figures relating to energy.
