Get Set for Positive Energy seeks to inspire primary school children to use their positive energy to drive change, get active and build healthy habits.
The programme is the perfect addition to the primary school classroom, exploring key curriculum themes around sustainability, renewable energy, and young people’s health and wellbeing.
Enter the Everyday Energy Competition!
When it comes to saving energy, even the smallest everyday changes can really make a difference! This spring term, Get Set for Positive Energy wants to inspire your school to get involved, by taking the Everyday Energy pledge and committing to save energy every day.
Once you have taken the pledge, support your pupils to enter the Everyday Energy Competition. Pupils must design a banner to encourage people in their community to join them in making Everyday Energy swaps, with the winning design awarded £5,000 to help make their school more sustainable in the future.

What is the Everyday Energy Competition?
The Everyday Energy Competition challenges young people aged 5–11 to create a banner to inspire their community to make small energy-saving changes every day. Their design should detail the changes that they will make to uphold their class's Everyday Energy pledge and include an inspirational message to encourage others to get involved, too! No all resources and elements of the Get Set for Positive Energy programme are free for schools, and home learners to access.
Who creates the Get Set for Positive Energy Resources?
All learning resources are created by education specialists and in consultation with teachers. We have done the work to create resources that teachers can use with minimum preparation to inspire and inform your pupils. British Gas have provided all the key facts and figures relating to energy.
