Join Team GB and ParalympicsGB on a virtual journey from Milan to Cortina!

Get Set for Milan helps young people get active, build healthy habits and celebrate the power of teamwork in the countdown to the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. The Get Set for Milan resources have been created to inspire schools, community groups and families to get moving in fun, inclusive and accessible ways.

With a mixture of short physical activities, winter-inspired games, skill-building sessions and athlete inspiration, the programme helps young people aged 5–11 get active and stay motivated.

All activities are flexible and can be used in large or small groups, at school, in clubs or at home. Whether you’re running a PE lesson, a quick breaktime activity or a weekend challenge, Get Set for Milan makes it easy to keep young people moving and engaged.

Move, explore, discover
The Get Set for Milan Movement Bursts are 15-minute, sport-inspired mini activities that get children active whatever the weather. Linked to Winter Olympic and Paralympic sports, these fun bursts build confidence, teamwork and coordination — with adaptations for everyone’s needs.

Build skills for life
Our repeatable Skills Builder lesson helps children develop skills that apply across all sports. These sessions are designed to grow confidence, motivation and enjoyment of physical activity over time.

Encourage play
Play Booster is a collection of fun, inclusive games inspired by sports featured in the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. Each 15-minute activity is designed to be self-led and gets young people moving through playful experiences that build physical confidence, social skills and teamwork.

Inspire with athlete stories
Exclusive videos feature Team GB and ParalympicsGB athletes reflecting on their journeys in sport — from discovering their passion to achieving their goals. These stories show young people that everyone starts somewhere.

Celebrate inclusion
All Get Set for Milan activities have been designed with inclusion in mind, with simple adaptations built into every session. We know that inclusion isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach, so the Get Set for Milan User Guide offers further guidance to help facilitators adapt any session using the STEP framework (Space, Task, Equipment, People). This ensures every young person can take part, feel confident, and experience success.

Track your journey
As you move, your team will travel virtually between key Winter Games venues from Milan to Cortina — earning digital badges to mark your milestones along the way.
Every minute of movement counts, whether it’s a PE lesson, a lunchtime game or a family walk at the weekend.
